Light Experiments
I had made many of these photos whilst I was bored and wanted to take photos of anything. Specifically I was watching videos on photography and how not to make generic photos, so I became inspired and decided to try to make something that I haven’t really explored much, abstract photography. To make these photos I set up a tripod in the middle of my bedroom and turned off all of the lights, making it as close to pitch black as possible. Then, I set up the camera facing my wall and set up the camera so I could take long exposures; I held my phone behind the camera with the torch on and put objects in front of it. For example: bottles, glasses, snow globes etc. The last photos I had taken a while ago and used long exposure too, and shook the camera whilst pointing it at lamps. I would like to attempt this again but maybe with an actual torch and a better setting, like on the outside of my house.
